As you may know, the 2014 AMA Winter Marketing Educators’ Conference will be held at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes, Orlando, Florida, on February 21-24, 2014 with the conference theme “Engaging Consumers.” If you haven’t seen it yet, the Call for Papers and other conference details are posted on the AMA website at the following link:
Building on the momentum of Markus’ and Ashlee’s inaugural CCT track, we urge you to please consider submitting your papers (the site is already accepting submissions which we’ll process later) or beginning a dialogue with others about special session proposals to ensure you have time to complete the proposals prior to the submission deadline on July 31, 2013. It would be great to have strong representation for CCT again at this year’s AMA conference!
In addition to submitting your work, another purpose of this letter is to seek your expertise in evaluating manuscripts and/or special session proposals for the Consumer Culture Theory track. Your help will contribute greatly to the conference, and will be sincerely appreciated. If you agree, we will send you no more than two papers for review this August. Our plan is to finish reviewer assignments by August 8th. We would need your feedback within a month of those assignments which would be about September 8th so we can finish drafting tracks by September 19th.
If you are willing to serve as a reviewer, please visit the new Scholar One site at amawinter14.abstractcentral.com to sign up. You will find an instructions tab with details on how to use the system (e.g. create an account, sign up for conference roles—reviewer/author, submit a paper or special session proposal, etc.). We would appreciate it if you could sign up for conference roles at your earliest convenience.
We look forward to seeing you at AMA and are excited to co-chair the Consumer Culture Theory track!
