Post.doc positions
There will be two post doc (two years with possible extension to three) / assistant professor (three years) positions open in the area of CCT from around August or September 2011 at the Department of Marketing Management, University of Southern Denmark. The position will be for two years with the possibility of extension to three years.
The position will have approximately 60/40 research/teaching obligations. Teaching could be in CCT-oriented courses in the areas of Marketing and Culture, Branding, Globalization and Marketing Theory in our Master of Science programme in Marketing, Globalization and Communicaton as well as introductory CB, Brand Management at the bachelor's level and will also involve supervision of bachelor's and master degree theses.
We are looking for candidates who will have completed their phd at the time of employment or have their thesis under evaluation. The candidate has good research and publication potential and is open to collaborative research efforts.
The Consumption Studies unit at University Southern Denmark has nine CCT researchers from the phd to professor level - most of you know who we are:-) otherwise see www.sdu.dk/fbs. In 2010 Eric J. Arnould was hired as Adjunct Professor. CCT has recently been pointed out as a strategic research area by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and was granted special funding for a three year period to further strengthen the CCT domain.
We have an active research environment with many external visitors and social activities during the academic year and a monthly research seminar series to stress the fact that a good research environment is constituted by more than a critical mass of researchers.
